Thank you so much for taking the time to read these words. Please know that they are intended as much for myself as well as for you. Jesus loves you. Yes, you! He died for you; in fact he died for all of us, so that we could one day be with him in heaven. The unfortunate thing is that often we as beings do not feel that we deserve it. Thoughts such as this can go through the mind of anyone, but please know that he truly thinks the world of you! I know that some of you may be thinking, “but I’ve done this, but I’ve done that…” Well, who hasn’t? Not one of us is an unflawed individual. Each and every person has a story about something that they wished they had done differently; mistakes that they have made due to lack of knowledge and/or understanding. Jesus, however, sees past all of that. The flaws we see as deformities and defects are seen by Jesus as creative and unique markings.
If you are not that familiar with Jesus, please do not worry! That is one of the reasons that I felt the desire to create this space. I do not know everything, but what I do know is that God was and is very willing to share his son with us. If you are looking for the best place to learn, I will tell you right now that it is not with me.
The Bible itself is the BEST place to learn about Jesus and what he wants and hopes for you. Too often, we can be tempted to rely on others to tell us information and it at times can leave one quite confused. Feel free to open the word of God, so that you can learn all about him. If you do not have a bible of your very own, I often see them in dollar stores and they can be a great start. I would suggest beginning with Mathew, which is the very first book of the New Testament. Also, places such as Goodwill ALWAYS have a bible or two that may even contain great notes from the previous owner! The Bible states, “Ask, and it shall be given; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (Matthew 7:11). A willingness to learn is all that you need; Jesus can take care of the rest!
Again I will state, this site is just as much for myself as it is for anyone else reading it. I have always had the desire to read the Bible, curious about its wonderful contents, and have also felt the desire to share him with others. God has put this on my heart, and this is my attempt to obey him and do as he asks. It may not be perfect, but I pray that as I continue, God will prompt my heart and allow the spirit of discernment to flow through me, so that I may share the truth of God and the desires of Jesus with you.
Thank you again for sharing this journey with me.
